Slighe a’Ghlinne Mhòir

Having just woken up from a blissful nights sleep, the last week seems almost like a dream. Seventy-Three miles across Scotland has filled my head with mountains, autumn leaves, lochs, locks, sheep, farms, and the people of the highlands. We traveled from Fort William to Inverness, following the Lochs and the Caledonian Canal that connects them, from one side of Scotland to the other. Read on!

Yesterday we went to see a play at the Royal Haymarket of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The big name of the production was Ralph Fiennes. Sitting with many of my University mates, I could tell that they were not thrilled by the production. And for all purposes, there were many parts that I, too, was displeased with. The first act left me feeling disappointed. However, in my opinion, Ralph Fiennes, as Prospero, saved the show in the second half. Read on!

Really Old Construction – Bath and Stonehenge

This past Friday brought another fantastic excursion – this time to Bath and Stonehenge, two great pillars of human ingenuity.

Bath is a pretty little spa town, home to many baths (never would have guessed, right?), including the over 2,000 year old Roman Baths, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site – “a masterpiece of human creative genius whose protection must be the concern of all.” Read on!
